Canon of Westminster and Rector of St Margaret's Church

Canon Sinclair is Rector of St Margaret’s Church, Westminster Abbey. St Margaret’s is adjacent to the Abbey Church, close to the Houses of Parliament, and is often called ‘The Church in Parliament Square’. Canon Sinclair works closely with the Reverend Rose Hudson-Wilkin, Chaplain to the Speaker of the House of Commons; and also chairs the Steering Group of the Westminster Abbey Institute.

She was installed as a Canon of Westminster in September 2014 as Canon Steward of the Abbey. Previously, she was Archdeacon of Stow and Lindsey (Diocese of Lincoln). In addition she was responsible for lay and ordained ministry across the Diocese. Prior to being an Archdeacon, Canon Sinclair worked in parish and cathedral ministry, and in theological education. Between 1986–2001, she was a member of the Liturgical Commission; and between 1995-2007 was a member of the General Synod of the Church of England.
