Answers to questions you may have about Westminster Abbey's Advent and Christmas services.

No, only the following services need to be booked in advance:

  • A Service of Lessons and Carols, 23rd December
  • A Service of Lessons and Carols, 24th December
  • Christmas Midnight Mass, 24th December

Most of our services are not ticketed so if you are not successful in securing tickets this year we hope that you will join us at another Christmas service - they are all very special occasions.

We will publish information about our other Christmas services in September.

Tickets for the following services must be booked.

  • A Service of Lessons and Carols, 23rd December
  • A Service of Lessons and Carols, 24th December
  • Christmas Midnight Mass, 24th December

As tickets for these services will book up very quickly, they will be released gradually to give everyone a chance to apply. They will be released in November.

Bookings are taken via the Eventbrite website and links to Eventbrite will be provided from the above event listings pages at the dates and times listed above.

Services are incredibly popular and tickets tend to go very quickly.

There are a number of services that do not require advance bookings, please check the Advent & Christmas page for more information.

If you are no longer able to attend please log in into your Eventbrite account and cancel your order. Tickets will be automatically released.

Unfortunately, we are unable to exchange tickets. If you are no longer able to attend please cancel your order so tickets can be released.

The waiting list has a maximum of 10 people. If when trying to book there is still space on the waiting list you will be asked to register.

If a ticket becomes available, you will be contacted automatically with further instructions on how to reserve your ticket.

Please note that due to the popularity of these services, you will have eight hours to reserve your place once tickets become available and you are notified.
