In 'Faith and Imagination – How the Arts speak to the reality of the Unseen’, Salley Vickers addresses the crucial role of the arts in giving shape and form to abiding intangible realities, suggesting the vital importance of nurturing the imagination through the arts in an increasingly secular society.
Salley Vickers has worked as a university teacher of literature and a psychoanalyst. She now writes and lectures full time and is widely known for her critically acclaimed novels such as the best-selling ‘Miss Garnet's Angel’, ’The Cleaner of Chartres’ and most recently ‘Cousins’, novels which explore the metaphysical dimensions - psychological and spiritual - of human experience.
