We are open to visitors from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes we’re closed for special services or events, so please check our opening times for the day you intend to visit so you don’t miss out.

Reuse your ticket

If you buy any ticket online you can upgrade it to an annual pass free of charge. This will enable you to visit the Abbey three times for the price of one.

Simply ask a member of the Visitor Experience team to upgrade your ticket to an annual pass when visiting and a new paper ticket which will be issued. You can visit up to three times in one year.

Wednesday Lates

Reduced rate entry on Wednesday evenings. A multimedia guide is not included. The following areas are not accessible during Wednesday Lates: The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Galleries, the Quire, the Lantern, the High Altar.

Highlights Tour

At times when we cannot open the entire Abbey to visitors, we offer a highlights tour at a reduced price. Tickets are only available at the Abbey.

Association members - Free entry
Adults - £18
Concessions - People aged 60+ and students - £18
Wheelchair users and their carers - Free
Children - Aged 6-16 years - £7
Aged 0-5 years - Free, when accompanied by an adult
Families - 1 adult and 1 child - £18

Other ways to visit

If you wish to enter the Abbey to spend a moment in private prayer, please use the Great West Door entrance to the Abbey.

We do not charge for private prayer at Westminster Abbey.

We encourage and welcome everyone to attend our daily services.

Be sure to check service times before your visit and use the Great West Door entrance of the Abbey.

We do not charge for attending a daily service.

We welcome members of the clergy from any denomination in the UK to apply for a Church Pass. This allows up to four members of your congregation to visit the Abbey free of charge during visiting hours. You can use passes up to six times a year.

Please note: the Church Pass is only available to UK parishes and chaplaincies.

Clergy may also visit the Abbey without charge during visiting hours. Entry is via the North Door.

Dean’s Yard will be closed and no walkthrough access will be available during certain times of the year. Dean's Yard will be closed:

- every Sunday
- when Westminster School is closed.
