Former Receiver General of Westminster Abbey are ex officio Deputy High Bailiff.

The current Deputy High Bailiff is Sir Stephen Lamport who was Receiver General for ten years before retiring in 2018.

He was formerly Private Secretary to His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales and before that a diplomat with the Foreign Office.
