In the vestibule of the Chapter House is a stone tablet and stained glass window in memory of James Russell Lowell, American poet and writer.

J.R. Clayton & Alfred Bell
Artist
John Richard Clayton (1827-1913) and Alfred Bell (1832-1895) designed several windows for Westminster Abbey and St Margaret's Church Westminster. Clayton also designed the memorials.
